Apple devices only?

No. The POS app runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS/iPadOS 17.6 or later and on Android 9 or later, on smartphones, tablets and POS terminals such as Sunmi. On Android you need Google Play services and install the app from Google Play. The Web desk and the Hub run in the browser.

What about inventory management?

The “Inventory” module is included in Servire Max (€99/month): manage stock levels, automatic deduction when orders are placed, goods receipt, purchase suggestions, supplier orders as PDF or by email, flagging of items below minimum stock and stocktaking. From Solo, you enter cost of goods and contribution margin directly on each item. For accounting, Solo and above include the DATEV file export and the sevdesk integration.

Can I use Free as a live POS in Germany?

Free includes POS features for setup and testing, but no TSE. Live POS use in Germany requires an active TSE, included from Solo. Free supports one active register device per shift.

Which plan is right for me?

Accepted Answer

Food truck or single till: Solo (€39). TSE, DSFinV-K and DATEV file export with one active register device per shift (the §146a cash register registration is available from Pro). Restaurant, bar or café with several devices: Pro (€59), the standard. You also want reservations, QR ordering for guests, inventory, time tracking or staff rostering: Max (€99). To get a feel for it without tax compliance: Free (€0).

Question 5

What happens if I sign in a second device on the Free or Solo plan?

On the Free and Solo plans, exactly one device runs the register: the device that starts the shift is bound to that shift. A second device is blocked for this shift, but it can actively take over the register after a confirmation, the previous device then locks immediately. Quick PIN switching between several employees on the same till remains possible at all times. If you permanently need several devices at once, Pro (€59) is the right plan.

What does Servire Max include?

Max includes eight features: reservations, guest ordering by QR code and ordering terminal, inventory management, guest management with loyalty card and stamp cards, website (builder), online voucher sales, time tracking and a staff roster with team area. On top comes everything in Pro, including the full statistics, which are included from Solo. Everything is included in the Max price, with no extra charge per feature. We keep developing the Max features, and your feedback goes straight into them.

Can I try Max for free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you register, your first location starts with 14 days of Max: all Max features, without payment details. This is available once per new account. Afterwards the location continues on the Free plan, free forever. The Max features switch off, and everything you have set up stays saved. You can still export recorded working hours without Max. If you book a plan before the trial ends, you keep Max until the end of the 14 days, then the booked plan applies. The TSE and cash register registration are not included in the trial; live POS use in Germany requires a paid plan.

What is guest ordering (self-ordering) and is it included?

With guest ordering your guests place their own orders: via QR code at the table, through the pickup page or at the ordering terminal. They choose from the digital menu and pay themselves, online via Stripe or SumUp or at the terminal's card reader. With an active TSE every order is signed; without an active TSE it is recorded unsigned, just like at the till without a TSE. Every order runs straight into the kitchen and the Z-report. Guest ordering is included in the Servire Max plan (€99/month).

How does the AI Menu Import work?

Just upload a photo or PDF of your existing menu: our AI extracts item names, prices, categories, variants, PLU numbers, allergens and additives and creates everything automatically. The Free plan includes 5 scans per week, the paid plans 20. The weekly limit resets every Monday. A PDF counts as one scan regardless of page count (up to 20 pages / 50 MB).

Can I cancel, and is there a minimum contract term?

Yes, you can cancel at any time; there is no minimum term. The Solo, Pro, and Max subscriptions can be canceled monthly at the end of the current billing period. You can find the cancellation option in the Web desk under Settings → Subscription in the restaurant's menu under Cancel.

Free is permanently free and requires no cancellation. This also applies to the 14-day Max trial period for new accounts: it automatically converts to Free. Cancellation does not release you from your legal obligation to retain existing POS data.

How much does a point-of-sale system for the hospitality cost?

The costs consist of software, hardware, and card payment fees. Is the TSE included in the price?

Yes. The fiskaly cloud TSE is included in the Servire Solo package for €39 per location per month plus VAT, as well as in the Pro and Max packages. You don't need a TSE USB stick for this.

The free version does not include a TSE ( Technical Security Equipment), not even during the 14-day maximum trial period for new accounts: You only set up a TSE with a paid subscription. The free version is for setup and testing purposes.

Servire does not offer a "Basic" package. The plans are called Free, Solo, Pro, and Max. The legally required cash register reporting to the tax office according to §146a AO is included starting with the Pro plan. Without a TSE Security Equipment), no signed cash register transactions are generated, and nothing is reported to the tax office. You can remove practice transactions before activating the TSE via Settings → TSE → Delete Test Data.

Is the free Servire POS system truly fully functional?

For everyday cash register use, yes; for actual operation in Germany, no. The Free plan includes basic POS functions with one active cash register per shift, but no TSE ( Technical Security Equipment). Without a TSE , you are not permitted to operate a cash register in Germany. Cloud-based TSE, DATEV, and DSFinV-K export are included with the Solo plan for €39 per location per month plus VAT. What are the advantages of the Pro and Max versions, and how much do they cost?

All plans include the core POS functions. Prices are per location and month, plus VAT, and cancel monthly.

Solo (€39) is ideal for food trucks and anyone who only needs one cash register. It includes certified cloud TSE, DSFinV-K and DATEV export, invoices via email, complete statistics with forecasting and AI assistant, and cost of goods sold per item. Limit: one active cash register per shift.

Pro (€59) is suitable for a full store: everything from Solo, plus the legally required cash register notification according to §146a AO to the tax office and an unlimited number of cash registers.

Max (€99) offers everything from Pro, plus reservations, guest ordering and order terminal, warehouse and inventory management, guest management with customer card and stamp cards, website (builder), online voucher sales and time tracking.

Newly registered accounts can test Max for their first restaurant free for 14 days. You can book or change your plan at any time in the Web desk under Settings → Subscription with Subscribe or Change Plan.

How much does Servire cost?

Servire Free is free and suitable for setup and testing. Servire Solo costs €39 per location per month and includes cloud TSE, DATEV and DSFinV-K export, as well as complete statistics with forecasting and an AI assistant; it still allows one active POS terminal per shift. Servire Pro costs €59 per location per month and adds support for multiple simultaneously active POS terminals and automatic reporting to the tax office. Servire Max costs €99 per location per month and adds reservations, guest ordering and ordering terminals, inventory management, guest management, website, online voucher sales, and time tracking. All prices are subject to VAT, and subscriptions can be cancel monthly. Is there a free trial period?

Yes. When you register for the first time, your restaurant will automatically run on the Max plan for 14 days, without payment details and without cancellation. This applies once per new account, regardless of whether you register via the POS app or the Web desk . During these 14 days, you can try out everything Max offers: reservations, guest orders and ordering terminal, inventory, guest management, website, online voucher sales, and time tracking. You can see how many days remain in the POS app under Restaurant Details and in the Web desk under Settings → Restaurant. After that, your restaurant will automatically continue on the Free plan, permanently free of charge. Your data will be retained. The Max modules will be deactivated and will reactivate with a Max subscription. If you subscribe during the trial period, you will keep it; the higher plan will apply until the end of the 14 days. A TSE ( Technical Security Equipment) and the cash register reporting to the tax office are not included in the trial period; all sales, including those from guest orders, will remain unsigned. Question 17

What happens to my data during a downgrade?

Your data will be retained, even after switching to Free.

Subscription ends (switch to Free): You will receive reminders via email beforehand. At the end of the paid period, Servire will create a final DSFinV-K export and deactivate the TSE . If you registered the cash register with the tax office via Servire , Servire will also deregister it; otherwise, you must deregister it yourself. In the Free version, only one device per shift can process payments. DATEV export, tax advisor submission, the sevdesk integration, and batch downloads under Receipts are disabled, and the Max features are deactivated. The statistics will only show overview, sales, item, personnel, and audits. You can still download individual receipts and reports as PDFs. If you resubscribe later, you will need to reconfigure the TSE in the Web desk under Settings → TSE.

Switching between Solo, Pro, and Max: Your data remains unchanged. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the paid month, an upgrade immediately. When switching from Max to a lower-priced plan, the Max features are deactivated, but your statistics remain complete. You will then only be able to view guest management data; time tracking exports will remain accessible. After switching from Pro to Solo, only one device per shift will process payments. You or your tax advisor will then be responsible for submitting the cash register report to the tax office.

What can I do in the free version?

In Servire Free you can work with all POS functions. Included are:

Receipt printer and kitchen monitor in the Servire Hub
Vouchers, deposits, discounts, cancellations, cash book and service cash register

Limitations of Free: One machine operates per shift . The receipts will show "Powered by Servire" at the bottom.

Not included is anything related to tax office and compliance. The certified cloud TSE, DSFinV-K and DATEV export, as well as invoice delivery via email, are included with Solo, while the cash register reporting according to §146a AO is included with Pro. For live operation, you need a TSE and therefore at least the Solo version. Solo also includes complete statistics with forecasting and AI assistant, as well as the cost of goods sold per item.

Reservations, guest ordering and ordering terminal, storage, guest management, website, online voucher sales and time tracking are all part of Max. Newly registered accounts can test Max for 14 days for their first restaurant, after which they can continue with the Free version.

How much does it cost to switch to Servire?

Nothing. Servire has no setup fee and no switching or setup costs. You can start either for free with Servire Free or directly with a paid plan starting at €39/month (Solo). You migrate your menu yourself using AI import, without needing a technician.
