The cloud-based TSE (Technical Security Equipment) does not sign on your POS device; it requires a connection. As long as this connection is unavailable, the receipt will display "Signature will be provided later." Once the connection is restored, Servire will automatically sign the transactions. Shift start and end require internet access. Therefore, only end a shift once the device is back online. What do I need for the food truck?

Minimal: An iPhone, iPad, or Android device and a compact receipt printer—connected via Bluetooth (Epson models like the TM-P20 or TM-P80) or as a network printer on mobile Wi-Fi, then also from other manufacturers with ESC/POS. An Android POS terminal with a built-in printer, such as one from Sunmi, doesn't need a separate receipt printer. Optional: A card reader for cashless payments. The entire setup fits easily into any food truck.

Can I accept cashless payments without a stable internet connection?

Accepted Answer

Internet access is required. Card payments need a connection to be authorized, whether via card reader or Tap to Pay. Without a network connection, you'll have to accept cash.

At festivals, a mobile hotspot or a dedicated LTE router for the POS system and card reader is helpful.

How does the deposit system for bottles, cups and crates work?

In the Web desk , you create your deposit items (e.g., €0.25 bottle deposit) under Menu → → Edit Deposit Items and attach them to the corresponding item in the item dialog. The POS app automatically adds the deposit to the order and shows it separately on the receipt. There are two ways to process the return: Deposit Return in the POS action menu (payout without an order) or Deduct Deposit when paying if the customer orders something at the same time.
