Import menus via AI
Upload your existing menu as an image or PDF and automatically transfer it to the server.
With the AI Import feature, you can scan an existing menu—as a photo or PDF—and Servire automatically imports item names, prices, categories, variations, and labels. This saves you the tedious typing when switching from another system or when creating a menu for the first time.

Requirements
-
An existing menu as a JPG, PNG, WebP (max. 10 MB) or PDF (max. 20 pages, 50 MB)
-
In the Free plan: up to 5 scans per week. In the Pro plan: higher limits.
-
The menu should be clearly legible — no crooked cell phone photos with reflections
Start import
-
Click the More menu (…) in the top right corner of the menu page.
-
Select AI Import.
-
Click the upload field or drag your file into it.
-
Click Analyze — the AI will now extract all recognized items.
Check detected content
After the analysis, the AI will show you all detected items with their data for confirmation:
-
Item names, prices, and categories
-
Variants and sizes (e.g., small/large, 0.3 l/0.5 l)
-
PLU numbers, additives, and allergens
Check the results carefully—the AI rarely makes mistakes, but sometimes with unclear source material. Only confirm the import after reviewing the data.
AI-powered recognition — please check results before importing
The AI is very good, but not perfect. With particularly creative menu designs or poor image quality, individual items may be scanned incorrectly. A quick visual check after import will save you from having to make corrections later.
When AI import is worthwhile
-
System Change: You are switching from another POS system to Servire and have your old menu as a PDF.
-
First-Time Setup: You are opening a business and have already designed the menu in Word/InDesign.
-
Takeover: You are taking over a business and want to quickly digitize the existing menu.
