Duplicating menus, categories, and items

Copying menus, categories, and items saves time in maintenance.

You can duplicate menus, categories, and items to save time — especially useful for similar items (e.g., different pizzas) or when creating a seasonal menu based on the standard menu.

What is being copied?

  • Duplicate Menu — The entire menu, including all categories and items, is copied. The name is automatically appended with (Duplicate). - Duplicate Category — The category, including all items within it, is copied to the same menu; (Duplicate) is also appended here. - Duplicate Item — The individual item, including all settings (price, variations, labels, image), is copied to the same category and is also appended with (Duplicate).

How to duplicate

Click on the More menu (…) of the relevant item (menu, category, or article) and select Duplicate. The duplicated item will immediately appear below or at the end of the list — then edit it with the desired new name and price.

Quickly create similar articles

For a pizza menu: First, create the complete Margherita pizza menu with all its labels, variations, and image. Then, duplicate it for each additional pizza, changing only the name, price, and description. This quickly saves an hour of maintenance time for 20 pizzas.

Copy menu to another restaurant

If you operate multiple restaurants, you can back up an existing menu via ** Data Export ** and import it into the other restaurant via ** Data Import **.
