Open cash drawer
Open the drawer automatically upon cash payment or via the action button without a sale.
Prerequisite: The cash drawer is connected to the receipt printer via cable. The cash register opens it via this printer.
Automatically when paying in cash
Turn on the switch
Open the printer to which the cash drawer is connected under Overview (house icon in the top left) → Settings → Printers. Under Cash Drawer, enable Open on Cash Payment and save.
The cash drawer opens when this printer prints a cash payment receipt or a deposit refund. For this to work, the printer must have the Invoices & Vouchers function enabled. The drawer remains closed for card payments, reprints, and test prints. This setting is printer-specific and applies to every cash register that prints through it.
Open without sales
Open cash drawer
Tap the round action button in the bottom right corner and select Open cash drawer ("No sale"). If you have multiple printers, then select the one with the drawer.
The drawer opens immediately, without a receipt. A brief message indicates whether it was successful. In hub mode, the cash register sends the order to the print center, which then opens the drawer.
Who is allowed to: Open cash drawer appears as soon as a printer is set up and you have the May open cash drawer right. The owner always has this right. In the Web desk, this entry can be hidden: Set up action button. Opening the cash drawer during checkout is not dependent on this right.
