Edit or delete printers
Adjust the name, printer series, and responsibilities of a printer, or remove a decommissioned printer from the list.
Printer configurations rarely remain unchanged: names are adjusted, responsibilities are shifted, and devices are decommissioned. Tapping on a printer in the list opens the edit view.
Edit printer
Open Settings → Printers and tap on the desired printer. You can change the printer name, the printer series (for Epson devices), and the paper width (for network printers, ESC/POS). Two drop-down lists with checkboxes are also available: Cash Drawer — the drawer opens when an invoice is printed from this device — and Print Jobs, which includes reports, invoices & vouchers, deposit returns, and individual item groups. Confirm with the checkbox in the upper right corner. The connection address is set only once during setup and cannot be changed later: If the printer's IP address changes, delete it and add it again. The printer type is also only available during setup — it belongs to the device, not the configuration. To ensure the address remains stable, it's best to assign a static IP address to the printer in your router.
delete printer
When editing an existing printer, you'll find a trash can icon in the upper right corner next to the name field. Tap it and confirm the prompt "Do you want to delete this printer?" with "Yes".
Before deleting any print jobs, check the printer's print jobs. If it's the only printer for a particular job, such as reports, first select a different printer—otherwise, this type of receipt won't be printable anymore.
Network printers are available across the entire site: once set up, they can be used on all iPads. Only printers connected via Bluetooth or USB are tied to a specific device and must be set up separately on that device. Similarly, the cash drawer setting only applies to the device on which you configured it.
