Setting up a customer display
This way, the guest can see what they have ordered, what they are paying for, and where their receipt is.
The customer display is the screen facing the guest. While you are processing the payment, they see the items with their individual and total prices, the bill amount, and, in the case of cash payments, the amount given and the change.
The screen only displays what is currently happening in the cash register app. If no transaction is in progress, a placeholder image appears.
Furnish
-
On the guest screen, open hub.service.de and log in.
-
Select Customer Display in the sidebar.
-
Switch to Full Screen via the header.
Start a transaction now in the cash register; it will appear immediately.
The digital receipt
Once the transaction is complete, a QR code appears with the message Scan QR code & secure receipt. The guest then receives their receipt on their mobile phone — they can download it as a PDF and, with an active subscription, also add it to their Apple Wallet.
Your thank-you message appears below. If you don't have one, it will say "Thank you for your purchase!".
Settings
Under Settings → Customer Display you can configure:

Thank you message — up to 200 characters, leave blank for the standard text.
Display duration after billing — how long the completed invoice remains displayed: 15 or 30 seconds, 1 or 2 minutes. Standard 30 seconds.
Accounts on the customer display — which cash registers this screen shows. No selection means: all. This is the setting for a business with two counters, each with its own customer screen.
Placeholder image — what's on during downtime. Large, bright images work best. Choose the display option: Fill screen will crop over the edges, Show full screen may leave borders. Optionally, add text over the image, such as a greeting or the daily special.
Except for the cash register selection, these settings apply to all customer displays in your business, including the customer display of the cash register app on a terminal.
If nothing appears
If the display permanently shows "No current billing," either no billing is running, or a cash register is selected under Accounts that is not currently processing payments. A billing statement that is not updated for one minute is considered canceled and disappears.
