Recording tips and change

When paying in cash, enter the amount received — Servire automatically calculates the change and tip.

When paying in cash, guests rarely have the exact change – "That'll be €4.80" / "Keep the change" or "Change, please, from the €100 note." Servire makes both of these simple: enter the amount received, and the change plus tip are calculated automatically.

Enter the amount received

Schritt 1 von 1

Step 1

On the summary screen of the statement, tap the large amount at the top (e.g., €4.80). A keyboard will appear.

Enter the amount received from the guest (e.g., €5.00 or €10.00). The app immediately calculates: Change due = Amount received - Total receipt. If the guest says "Keep the change," the remainder is recorded as a tip.

Use Quick Picks

Frequently used amounts (€5, €10, €20, €50, €100) are available as quick access buttons below the input field. Tap, and the value is entered. This is particularly useful for shifts involving a lot of change.

You can also enter the tip directly in the tip field (under change due) — for example, if the guest pays the exact amount in cash and adds an extra €2 tip. The received amount will update automatically.

Tips are shown separately in the Z-report and in the service cash register — important for later tip distribution to your team. With an active service cash register, the tips are directly included in the respective server's balance sheet.
