The guest's pick-up number

Where your guest sees their collection number — on the receipt, at the order terminal and when ordering online.

For a guest to respond to their phone number, they need to know it. Servire displays it in up to four places, depending on how they ordered. This article describes what your guest will see so you know what to point them to.

On the receipt

If the guest orders from you at the counter, the number is at the top of their payment receipt — as a separate line “Collection No.”, directly below the invoice number and date.

The number appears on the receipt regardless of the payment method. A guest who orders at the bar and then sits down at an empty table will have it just the same – they don't have a table to track them through.

If you don't issue a receipt because the guest doesn't want one, give them the number verbally or show them the screen. Without the number, they can't identify the call on the display.

At the order terminal

If the customer orders at the terminal, the number appears prominently on the confirmation screen after completion, under "Thank you!" and the heading "Your pickup number". They therefore see it before leaving the terminal.

It's worth bringing along the receipt

The checkout screen is free for the next guest after a few seconds. Anyone who doesn't remember the number will only have it on the receipt afterwards.

When ordering online

If the guest orders for pickup via the guest app, they will receive the number in two places: on the confirmation page immediately after submission and then permanently on the status page of their order, both times under the heading "Your pickup number".

He can leave the status page open or access it again later — it is the most reliable place for him because it is still there even after he has clicked away the confirmation.

When ordering online, the order number is assigned as soon as your order is received—not when you add items to your shopping cart. Therefore, it will only appear on the confirmation page once the payment process is complete.

On the pickup display

The collection display is the only place where the guest can track the progress. Their number is shown on the left while the kitchen is working; it appears in green on the right as soon as you have called their number.

A customer whose order number is no longer visible has either already been called and the display period has expired, or the order has been marked as picked up. In both cases, a look at the order list in the POS app will help—the number will still be displayed there.

What the guest doesn't see

The collection display shows only numbers—no names, no items, no amounts. This is intentional: The display is publicly located in the dining area, and no one should be able to see what someone else has ordered or paid for.

Only you can see what belongs to a number — on the kitchen monitor and in the order list of the cash register app.
