Send order to kitchen

What happens when you tap on Submit new order — and how to track the status of print jobs.

The central service button: "Submit new order" sends the selected items to the kitchen, bar, and counter. Behind this single tap are several steps: TSE signature, receipt printing per printer assignment, and cloud synchronization for other devices.

Step 1

In the order view, all new items are marked with a green +1 symbol. Tap the black "Submit New Order" button (+N) at the bottom — N is the number of new items.

Step 2

The app signs in a TSE-compliant manner, prints the receipts (kitchen, bar separately if configured so) and displays a green toast icon indicating that the order for table X has been successfully received.

Receipt printing per printer

You define which product groups a printer prints on a per-printer basis: in the POS app under Settings, Printers, desired printer — there you select the product groups. You do the same in the Hub under Print Hub, Manage Printers. Conveniently, the coffee machine should only print hot drinks, the kitchen printer only food. There are no printer settings in the web interface — you only create the product groups there.

You can set the print format for each group — separate, combined or per piece — in the POS app under Settings, General, Print settings, Item groups.

If the receipt doesn't print, first check the printer (paper, power) and then the print job list (list icon in the upper right corner). A failed job will be listed there and can be reprinted.

Sending is final: once sent, the order is sent out, and the cooks begin. Incorrect order? Cancel it retroactively with a mandatory cancellation reason (TSE-compliant).
