Move items between categories

With the Move Item function, you can assign an item to a different category — without having to create a new one. All settings such as price, variants, tags, and image are retained.

When do you move articles?

• You are restructuring your menu (e.g., moving Espresso from Coffee to its own category Espressi)

• You have accidentally placed an item in the wrong category

• You are moving seasonal items between the summer and winter menus

How to move an article

The dialog displays a single selection list, grouped by menu items: The menu items appear as subheadings above and are not clickable; only the target category is selectable—the menu item is then determined from this. The current category of the item is deactivated; menu items without categories display "No category available." Confirm with Move. Moving multiple items at once is the second of two steps—first, select the items and click Next.
