Change quantity and edit item: Servire Handbook

Ordered quantities are not set in stone. Does the guest want a second beer? One less appetizer? You can change the quantity in the item details sheet, without having to go through the menu.

In the order view, tap on the item row — the details sheet will open and show all bookings with time and employee.

The quantity bar is located at the bottom of the sheet: Minus, current number, Plus, Done. Alternatively, swipe left on the quantity display to decrease or right to increase. This bar is hidden in preview mode. Canceled orders, items from self-orders, and included €0 components cannot be opened.

Note, discount and cancellation

The menu with the three dots at the top of the sheet contains actions that apply to all items: Cancel All, Move to Process, Move to Party, Show Recipe, Move to Another Table, and Cancel. Note, Surcharge, and Discount, on the other hand, can be found in the dot menu of the individual booking line—the discount only if you have the discount authorization.

For items with mandatory options (e.g., burgers with specific bread type), the option is simply replicated when the price is increased. If a different option is desired, add the item separately from the menu.

Increasing quantities is possible at any time; the new items are sent to the kitchen as a reorder. The minus button, on the other hand, only reduces the number of items not yet sent and is deactivated once no new items remain. You can cancel items that have already been sent via the options menu and select a predefined cancellation reason. This requires the "Cancellations" permission – if this permission is lacking, the menu item will not appear.
