conclude a data processing agreement
Why Servire needs this contract before storing guest or employee data, and how to conclude it.
As soon as Servire stores data about your guests or employees on your behalf, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires a separate contract: the data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. This agreement stipulates what Servire is and is not permitted to do with this data. You remain responsible for the data—Servire only processes it on your behalf.
The contract applies to one restaurant; therefore, only the person listed as the owner can conclude it. Employees can see in the same location who they need to contact. If you operate multiple restaurants, conclude a separate contract for each one.
When Servire asks for it
The contract is required before you can set up any of these four modules:
Guests — Guest profiles, customer card, stamp card, newsletter
Reservations — Table reservations and waiting list
Guest orders — Order and pay at the table, collection, delivery services
Time tracking — your employees' working hours
It then appears as the first step in the assistant. Everything else — cash register, receipts, billing, menu, table plan — continues as usual without it.
Here's how to complete it.
In the web desk, open Settings → Subscription. Under Order Processing, tap Conclude Contract.
Read the contract text. Below you will find your company details: company name, street, postal code, city, and country. These are pre-filled with your billing information and can be changed here—this is how they will appear in the contract. Enter your name and job title, check the box, and complete the form.
The module is activated immediately. You will receive the completed contract as a PDF at the email address registered for your invoices.
View contract and new versions
Under Settings → Subscription → Order Processing you can see at any time when and by whom the contract was concluded. Download Contract opens your personal copy, View Contract Text the general version on servire.de. If the email did not arrive, Resend will help.
If the contract text changes, a notification will appear in the web desk. Your modules will continue to function unchanged; confirm the new version when you have the opportunity by clicking Confirm new version.
If Servire uses another service provider, you will be notified in advance via email to your billing address. You can object within 30 days for data protection reasons; until this period expires, they will not process any data from your business.
