Setting up a kitchen monitor

This way, the kitchen and serving area receive all orders on one screen.

The kitchen monitor replaces the paperwork: every order appears as a card as soon as it is sent to the checkout.

A screen or tablet with internet access, your server account, and an open shift in the POS app are all you need. You don't need a separate account for the kitchen.

Furnish

  1. On the kitchen device, open hub.servire.de in your browser.

  2. Log in with your Servire account.

  3. Select your restaurant in the sidebar at the top.

  4. Tap Kitchen Monitor in the sidebar.

  5. Start a shift in the POS app if one isn't already running.

That was all. From now on, every order sent will appear on the monitor.

Lock screen

To prevent anyone from accidentally navigating away from the full-screen mode in the kitchen, activate full-screen mode: the Full Screen button in the header. To secure it, set a password of at least four digits under Settings → General → Secure Full Screen Mode. This password will then be required to exit full-screen mode.

The password is only valid for this device. If you forget it, the only solution is to log out—this will delete it.

Show only specific items

By default, the monitor displays everything. If a second device is at the bar, it should usually only show drinks. To do this, open the Settings → Kitchen Monitor on the respective device and under Item Groups select only the groups that should appear there.

This selection applies per device. For example, the kitchen screen displays the food and the bar screen displays the drinks, even though both are showing the same operation.

If the monitor remains blank

  • “No active shift”: There are no open shifts in the POS app. Start one.

  • “No orders”: Either there really are no open orders, or the filters are too restrictive. Check the item groups and the status filter under Settings → Kitchen Monitor.
