Kitchen monitor settings
All the settings of the kitchen monitor and what they are good for.
You can open the settings via the gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar, under the Kitchen Monitor tab.
— Article groups, status filters, sorting, recipe buttons, and sound. This is intentional: each screen displays exactly what's needed in its designated space. If you have multiple monitors, you configure each one individually.
Article groups
Controls which groups appear on this monitor. If no selection is made, all groups are active. This is the setting for a bar screen that should only display drinks.
Status filter
Determines which processing statuses are visible: Ordered, In Progress, Ready for Collection, Completed. All four are displayed by default. To only see pending work, deselect Completed.
Sorting
or Newest first. The default is Oldest first — the order that has waited the longest is at the top.
Recipes
Two switches. Show Recipe Buttons displays the book icons at the corresponding positions. Record Course Times records when a course is finished and served, and displays this information to the waitstaff at the table. The second switch applies to the entire establishment and is disabled by default.
clay
A beep sounds with every new order, offering a choice of six sounds: Single, Double Beep, Ascending, Doorbell, Bell, Marimba. The Listen button plays a preview. This is the default setting.
Automatic status assignment
The most useful and least known button. When an order is paid for or canceled in the POS app, Servire automatically sets a kitchen status after a waiting period—meaning the card disappears without anyone in the kitchen having to tap anything.
They set up separate settings for payment and cancellation:
Waiting time ranges from immediate to 10 minutes. The standard is one minute to give the kitchen a buffer.
Status that is set. The default is Done; No Assignment disables the case.
This setting applies to the entire system, not just this device. All pending assignments are discarded when the device is powered off.
Colors & Legend
Not a setting, but an explanation: which status corresponds to which color, and after what waiting time a card turns yellow and red. The limits are fixed at 10 and 30 minutes.
