Guest orders: Payment and QR codes: Servire Handbook

The tabs Payment & tip and QR Codes & Embedding can be found in the Web desk under Online Orders → Guest Orders → Gear icon. The remaining tabs are described under Setting Guest Orders.

Prerequisite: Guest orders are included in the Max plan. Only employees with the Manage Guest Orders right are authorized to set up and modify them; the data processing agreement must be concluded beforehand by the owner ( Conclude Data Processing Agreement ). The online payment provider (Stripe or SumUp) is connected under Settings → Integrations: Connect Payment Provider.

At the top, your online payment provider is displayed with Ready or Not Ready. Below that, you select payment methods and tip levels.

Allow online payment – Guests pay directly when ordering. Off = payment only upon pickup. Online payment is always required at the table: Without this option, guests cannot order at the table. One payment method must always remain available.
Payment Methods (Stripe only) – Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are all part of the same system: If one is selected, the payment page will offer all three, provided the guest's mobile phone supports them. Grayed-out methods are not yet activated in your Stripe account. With SumUp, your SumUp account determines the payment methods; PayPal is added via a linked PayPal business account.
** tip Levels (in Percent)** – Enter the value and press Enter. Allowed values are 0 to 50%, with a maximum of 10 levels. The guest will always see No tip and must select the amount themselves. For payments made upon pickup, the tip will be collected on-site and pre-entered in the cash register. No tip will be requested at the ordering terminal.

Online payments go directly to your own account with the payment provider. The Servire is never the recipient of the payment.

QR codes & embedding

Address for your guests displays your pick-up link with options to copy, open, and download QR code. Under Table QR codes you can see how many tables already have a code.

Generate QR Codes – downloads a PDF with one QR code per table for printing. The table name and area will later appear on the receipt. You can reload the PDF at any time. Previous printouts remain valid, even if you rename tables.
QR codes rotate – this invalidates all previous printouts, e.g., if codes have been photographed. Guests with an old code will see an error message. Print new codes and replace them.
The code of a deleted table no longer works.

The tab is only usable once guest orders are active and a payment method is available: a connected online payment provider or payment upon pickup. The pickup link and QR codes will only work once your Servire website is published.

Embedding on your own website

At the very bottom of the tab, you enable Allow embedding, enter your website address under Allowed domains, and generate the HTML code (content, design, accent color, language, height) under Generate code. Guests can then order directly on your site.
