Data export (CSV/ZIP)
Export menus as a ZIP file with CSV and images — for backups, Excel maintenance, or transfer to other restaurants.
With the data export function, you can back up your complete menus. You will always receive a ZIP archive containing a CSV file and all associated images. This is useful for backups, for transferring menus to another restaurant, or as a template for external maintenance in Excel.
What is being exported?
The export includes:
-
All items with name, price, description, PLU, and tax rates
-
Category assignment and order
-
Global and item-specific variants with surcharges
-
Labels (allergens and additives)
-
Deposit item assignments
-
All images, if available
Start export
Click on the More menu (…) in the upper right corner and select Data Export. From the dropdown menu, select the menus you want to export (e.g., only Drinks or All) and click Start Export. You will receive a ZIP archive containing the CSV file and, if images are included, all images as well.

Open CSV in Excel
The CSV file from the archive can be opened directly in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets. This is helpful for bulk price changes—adjust prices column by column and then import them again via Data Import.
For tax purposes, you generally don't need the menu data—what's relevant are the receipts and the DATEV export, which has its own DATEV Export tab in the settings. The menu export is intended for day-to-day maintenance.
