Data export (CSV/ZIP)
Export menus as CSV files — for backups, Excel maintenance, or transfer to other restaurants
With the data export function, you can save your complete menus as a CSV file (with images as a ZIP file). This is useful for backups, for transferring them to another restaurant, or as a template for external maintenance in Excel.

What is being exported?
The export includes:
-
All items with name, price, description, PLU, and tax rates
-
Category assignment and order
-
Global and item-specific variants with surcharges
-
Labels (allergens and additives)
-
Deposit item assignments
-
All images (as a ZIP file, if available)
Start export
-
Click the More menu (…) in the upper right corner and select Data Export
-
Select the menus you want to export from the dropdown menu (e.g., only Drinks or All)
-
Click Start Export
-
You will receive a CSV file (or a ZIP file if images are included)
Open CSV in Excel
The exported CSV file can be opened directly in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets. This is helpful for bulk price changes—adjust prices column by column and then import them back as a CSV file via Data Import.
Handover to tax advisor
For tax purposes, you generally don't need the menu data — what's relevant are the receipts (see the Receipts page) and the DATEV export (see Create TSE DATEV tab). The menu export is intended for operational maintenance.
