Set up the device using the wizard
The device assistant sets the start view and obtains all necessary permissions before the first guest pays.
The device wizard sets up a POS terminal in just a few pages. It only asks what else the device needs, such as enabling the printer, camera, or card payments. This way, the system doesn't prompt you for information mid-transmission.
How to start it: After registration, the device pages will run once during the introductory tour. Later, you can start the assistant at any time under Settings → This Device.

What do you use this device for?
Select ** server** if you're ordering and paying at a table; the table view will open first. Select ** counter** if you're taking payments without a table; the quick checkout will open first. On Android, these options are called ** server- Handheld** and Mobile counter; if a printer is installed, the selection also determines what it prints.

Grant approvals
Each page requires permission for a specific access point, such as the camera. Tap "Allow" and confirm your device's prompt. If you previously denied permission, it will say "Not allowed – can only be changed in settings"; "Go to device settings" will take you directly there.

The last page summarizes: A green checkmark means completed, for example for the role of ** server**, an orange i means still open, for example for the camera. With Let's go you're finished.
Which pages appear
The assistant only shows pages that are still open on this device. That's why each device looks slightly different.
Printer on Wi-Fi (Android: Network printer) – allows the app to access receipt printers on the Wi-Fi network. This is not required if the device prints via the print hub.
Camera (iOS) – for scanning vouchers, guest cards and customer cards.
Built-in printer (Android) – on POS terminals with a printer. Print test receipt checks the paper width.
NFC (Android) – reads gift cards. Enabling NFC leads to the system settings.
Card payment – the authorizations required by your payment service and the one-time activation of Tap to Pay: card payment directly on the device.
Notifications (Android) – so that the card reader can report updates.
Skip in the upper right corner ends the wizard at any time; the selected start view will still apply. You can change it in the overview under View: Switch View.
