Print mode: Image or text
When a receipt is printed as an image and when as text — and what that means for appearance and speed.
Each printer has its own print mode. You can find it in the POS app under Settings → Printers when you tap on the printer.
Picture (nicer)
The receipt is rendered as an image and sent to the printer. Servire can use its own font and draw fine lines—the receipt looks just like it does on the screen. However, this results in a larger file size, and printing takes longer with a weak Wi-Fi connection.
Text (faster, leaner)
The receipt is printed directly as text. The data volume is significantly smaller, and the printout is more robust over weak Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. The printer uses its built-in font for this purpose.
Which one should you choose?
Use image as long as the printouts are fast. If receipts are delayed, switch to text. text is generally the better choice for Bluetooth printers.
Print per item group is a separate setting—here you specify whether a group is printed separately, combined, or individually. It's located under Settings → General → Print settings → Item groups.
