Service checkout (end of shift with headcount)

At the end of your shift, count and close your service till — before the main till count.

Before ending your shift (or at shift change), count your personal service till. Enter your current cash balance; the app compares it to the target balance and records any discrepancies. Tips are shown separately.

Check-out workflow

When you tap "End shift" — with the service checkout active — Servire first opens the checkout dialog for the service checkout. Enter the final balance in your wallet (with denominations or as a total).

The app calculates: Ending balance minus beginning balance minus amounts received = should equal tips + change received. If there's a difference, the app displays it as positive (surplus) or negative (shortfall) — you can leave a comment.

Tip payout

After check-out, the app displays the exact tip for the shift. Depending on your setup, this is either paid out to you in cash or saved as a payroll item for the next payroll. Both methods are logged in compliance with TSE (Technical Security Equipment) and tax office regulations.

If there are frequent discrepancies at checkout, it's worthwhile to introduce an interim count mid-shift. This ultimately saves arguments about forgotten transactions.

Only after all service checkouts have been successfully completed can the main checkout be counted and the shift finally ended. Forgotten checkouts will block the Z-report.
