Cash register registration according to §146a AO to the tax office

Here's how to register your cash register with the tax office.

The cash register registration according to §146a AO is the legally required notification of your cash register data to the tax office. In the web interface, navigate to Settings › TSE; the Cash Register Registration section is located there. It will only appear if the subscription for the location is active and a TSE has already been created for that location.

Cash register reporting is available from Servire Pro onwards. With Servire Solo, the web desk displays the message "Cash register reporting from Servire Pro onwards" at this point; Cloud TSE as well as DSFinV-K and DATEV export remain available in Solo.

The assistant in four steps

Click on "Register for checkout now". Step 1/4 requests your tax number, federal tax office number, and optional VAT ID; the "Company (Legal Entity)" switch toggles between company name with legal form and personal details including date of birth and tax identification number. Step 2/4 requires "Description of business location" and the address; the "Remarks" field is optional.

Tax identification number and tax office number

The tax identification number is expected to be 13 digits long in the standardized federal format, for example 9198011310010. The federal tax office number must match the first 4 characters of the tax identification number.

Step 3/4 displays all the information for verification. Under "Cash Register Data," select the commissioning date; it must be no earlier than the purchase date and no later than the future date. "Save" saves the report but does not yet transmit it. In step 4/4, the web portal automatically downloads the information as a PDF; you can reload it if necessary using the "Reload" link. Check the file, check the box next to "Yes, the information is correct," and click "Submit Data Now."

After transmission

This section displays the "Last modified on" and the status as a badge. Once information is saved, a three-dot menu with the transmission history appears in the upper right corner; after successful transmission, the options "Confirmation as PDF," "Correct data," and "Deregister cash register" are added. Correct any incorrect information by submitting again with the correct data. To deregister, enter a reason; this simultaneously deactivates the TSE and first generates a final DSFinV-K export, which remains downloadable.
