Manage discounts

Here's how to set discounts in percent or euros — loyalty customer discount, staff discount, seasonal promotions.

What are the discounts for?

With discounts (internally also rebates), you give guests a fixed price reduction — as a percentage value on the entire bill or individual items, or as a euro amount to deduct. Examples: loyalty discount, staff discount, promotion €5 free with a €30 order.

Create new discount

Open Settings → Restaurant → Discounts and tap the + icon. Enter:

  • Name — freely selectable, e.g., Loyalty Customer 5% or Staff 30%

  • Value — number, combined with % or €

  • Excluded Item Groups — optional, e.g., do not discount tobacco or deposit items

  • Active — toggle whether the discount can be selected in the POS app

Force employee discount

If you activate the Force employee discount switch in Settings → Restaurant → More settings, employees can only apply the employee discount during employee sales—no other discounts. This prevents abuse.

Use the discount in the checkout app

When processing an order, tap the % symbol in the POS app and select the desired discount. You can apply it to the entire order or to individual items — depending on the discount's preset settings.

The selection Excluded Item Groups is applied automatically — items from these groups will not be deducted from the discount, even if you apply the discount to the entire invoice.

Order and visibility

Sort the discounts using drag & drop in the overview. Inactive discounts do not appear in the selection, but remain in the system — useful for seasonal promotions that you reactivate later.

Every discount transaction is clearly shown on the receipt (original price, discount amount, final price) and logged in the TSE (Technical Security Equipment). This is required by law—manual price changes without a discount transaction are not permitted.
