General settings
Customize the app's printing, display, font size, and default behavior to suit your workflow.
Under Settings → General, you'll find options that don't belong to any single function: how receipts are printed, what's displayed on the item tiles, the font size, and what's pre-selected during checkout. This allows each team to configure the app according to their workflow.
Print settings
This section contains three entries. "Order slips" controls whether prices appear on order slips. "Copy instructions" manages the instructions on the receipt and order slip. "Item groups" takes you one level deeper: Here you set the print mode for each group — "Print separately" produces one slip for each different item (quantities grouped together), "Print combined" produces one slip per group, and "Per piece" produces one slip for each individual item. Without a custom setting, "Print separately" applies.
View and font size
"Product Images" determines what appears on the menu's product tiles: "Images only," "Name only," or "Both." "Quick Tips" has two settings: "Show all" or "Errors & Warnings only"—in which case confirmation and informational messages are hidden, while errors and warnings still appear. Under "Font Size," the "Use iOS Settings" toggle is enabled by default; the font size then follows the iOS system settings. Disable it, and you can choose between "Normal," "Larger," and "Large." On the iPad, "Larger" is the default; the minimum size is not possible. In both cases, the app scales accordingly.
Standard billing procedure
Default billing options: Nothing pre-selected or everything pre-selected. "Nothing" requires active selection and prevents accidental full billing. "Everything" speeds up the standard process.
The settings apply per device, not per account. A service employee working on multiple iPads will adjust them individually on each device.
