Place counter order (express checkout)

Quick order without going through the table plan — items directly into the order list, table optional.

The express checkout (counter view) starts an order differently than the table view: you don't select a table, but tap directly on the items. This is faster for orders without a seat.

Workflow

In the express checkout, you'll see the menu instead of a table plan. On the iPad, the order list is permanently displayed as a separate column to the right, showing items, quantities, and the total. Tapping an item adds it to the list. For items with variations, the details dialog opens, just like in the table view. In narrow windows, the column is hidden; instead, the "Order · Quantity · Total" button appears at the bottom, opening the list as a sheet.

You can edit each line directly: Swiping right increases the quantity by 1, swiping left decreases it by 1. A tap opens the editor with quantity steppers. A long press opens the context menu with options for Note, Discount, Surcharge, and Delete.

The "Assign table" field is located at the top of the order list. Tapping it opens the table selection, either as a list or a table plan, along with the "No table" option. The "…" button takes you to the action menu with options for takeout, deposit, voucher, cancellation, and message.

If you don't select a table, your order will proceed as a takeaway order. You can assign a table later at any time.

You can change the view yourself: Settings, "View" section, then "Table View" or "Quick Checkout". This choice only applies to the specific iPad.
