Parties split

Splitting a party into two subgroups — if it only becomes apparent during payment that separate invoices are desired.

Sometimes guests only realize at the end of the evening that they want to pay separately—even though everything was previously on one bill. Servire splits bills retroactively: For each item, you choose which one goes into a new bill.

step by step

Open the table order and tap the party's three-dot menu (options). Select Split or Divide — depending on your app version.

The split dialog displays all items in the original batch with selection fields. Tap the items you want to move to the new batch. For multiple quantities, you can also split individual items (e.g., 3 out of 5 beers to the new batch). Confirm with Done.

The original party remains with the unselected items, the new party (Party 2) appears with the moved items as a separate section.

Splitting is only useful before invoicing. Once part of the party has already been invoiced, splits are only possible via the cancellation workflow — more complicated and requiring a TSE signature.

If the guest wants to start with two parties right from the beginning, Add Another Party is the clean way — see the relevant article.
