Name or guest of a party
To name a party or assign a guest: one sheet for table, counter and payment screen.
Each party can have a name, such as Family Hofmann or Lena. With guest management (Max plan), you assign a guest instead; they then collect stamps and receive their regular discount. A party either has a name or a guest.
Here's how you keep track of the evening's bill: At the "Bar" table, each guest gets their own tab with their name on it; each round is tracked on this tab, and the bill is settled when they leave. If they pay on another day, you write: Billing.
Open page
At the table: Tap on … at the top of the party list and then on Name party, or on Name / Guest if using guest management. If a name is already entered, the entry without guest management will be called Rename party.
When settling up: On the payment screen, under Assignment, tap on the Name or Name / Guest line. The Cover Letter tile will automatically open the form if no one has been entered yet.
At the counter: On the receipt, under Assignment, tap Name or Name / Guest.
In the order list: in the case of a transferred order via ….
Enter name
Type the name in the field (maximum 30 characters). Below, you'll see something like Use "Family Hofmann" as name; tap it to select it. Each new name is saved as a template and will be available for selection next time. On iPhone and iPad, the templates are located under Saved Names; you can delete one by swiping it to the left.
The name appears in the table view, in the table search, in the order list and on the order slip.
Assign guest
With guest management, the same field also searches your guests by name, company, phone number, email address, or number. The results show things like stamp status, birthday, allergies, and whether anything has already been written on the guest's card. Tap on the guest. Also in the sheet:
Scan guest card reads the QR code of the guest card or customer card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
Create new guest (iPhone and iPad: + at the top, Android: button at the end of the list) uses the typed name.
If the table has a reservation, the sheet suggests the reservation guest.
Change and remove
Remove Assignment at the bottom of the sheet removes the name or guest. For a party that has already been sent, the POS system saves any changes immediately; for a new party, the change is saved upon Submitting. Once the party has been addressed or invoiced, no further changes can be made: the name or guest then becomes part of the receipt.
What an assigned guest receives when paying is explained under "Assign guest at checkout".
