Article details: Recipe, price, allergens
All the details about an item at a glance — description, allergens, variations, recipe.
Tapping on an item in the menu list opens the item details view. There you can see all the data that the owner has entered in the web portal — important for customer inquiries.
What it says in detail
At the very top are the name and price, along with the public and internal descriptions, and the notes "sold out" or "inactive," if applicable. If images are included, a separate card follows with a scrollable strip of small preview images; tapping on this opens the gallery. Next come the "Allergens & Additives" card, the deposit information, and the available variations, including any applicable surcharges or discounts.
At the very bottom, the metadata card summarizes the order number (PLU), item group, menu item, category, and VAT rate. The standard price is always displayed; you will not see any different price categories in this view.
Recipe (internal)
If needed, the owner can add a recipe to each item—formatted as Markdown, with an ingredient list and preparation steps. This is practical for training new cooks or temporary staff who want to look things up.
Providing allergen information is a legal requirement. If a guest asks about allergens, it is your responsibility to give the correct information—always check the app, not your memory. Incorrect information can have serious consequences for allergy sufferers.
