Manage TSE

This is how you set up the TSE for the KassenSichV, export DSFinV-K data and register the cash register with the tax office.

What is the TSE?

The Technical Security Device (TSE) has been mandatory for electronic cash registers in Germany since January 1, 2020 (KassenSichV, §146a AO). It cryptographically signs each order. The certified cloud-based TSE from Fiskaly is used; no additional hardware is required. Accessing the TSE settings requires an active server subscription.

Setting up TSE

The TSE (Technical Security Equipment) is not created automatically. After subscribing, clicking the "Set up TSE" button will take you to the wizard; later, you can access it in the TSE tab of the settings. There, you enter the address, postal code, and city, and click "Create TSE." Only the account that created the restaurant can do this. If the process is interrupted, clicking "Continue creation" will complete it. An existing TSE can be manually activated and deactivated via the three-dot menu.

The TSE section displays the ID, status, creation and initiation date, transaction and signature counters, client ID, client serial number, and the certificate serial number (available for download). To start a DSFinV-K export, click "Create Export." The entry immediately appears in the DSFinV-K Exports table with the status "Processing" and updates every five seconds. Once completed, download the ZIP file using the download icon in the row.

Cash register notification to the tax office

The cash register reporting process according to §146a AO (German Fiscal Code) is completed via a four-step wizard: taxpayer, business location, submission, PDF download, and submission. The overflow menu provides access to the submission history, confirmation as a PDF, the option to correct data or continue submission, and the option to log out of the cash register. This section is available starting with Server Pro.
