Initial data import

When creating a new restaurant: Import demo data to try it out or start with a blank map.

After creating a new restaurant (see Creating a new restaurant), Servire offers a step: Data Import. Here you choose whether to start with an empty configuration or use a prepared demo template — menu, areas, tables, print modes.

Demo data vs. blank start

Demo data: includes a sample menu (drinks, meals, burgers with variations), two sample areas (restaurant, terrace), and 12 sample tables. Perfect for trying out the app without having to create everything from scratch. Empty start: no data—you build everything from the ground up.

If you start with nothing, the next step is to create at least one area and one table, as well as a first menu — otherwise you cannot take orders.

Even with demo data, you can adjust or delete everything later. Feel free to try out the demo, look at the structure, and gradually replace it with your real data.

Data import can only be selected once during initial setup — later you can add more items or tables, but you cannot re-import the demo template.
