Operating the kitchen monitor: Checking off dishes
This is how you report positions as in progress, ready to serve, and complete.
Each order form displays its items in blocks, one for each processing stage. What you check off moves to the next block — and eventually disappears from the screen.
Change status

Tap the order card. The Change Status dialog box will open.

Select the checkboxes next to the items that are complete. Select All selects the entire order.

Tap the new status at the bottom of the status bar.
The four statuses are Ordered, In Process, Ready to Serve, and Ready. For pickup orders, the last two are Ready for Pickup and Picked Up.
A double tap on a status block is faster: it moves everything in it to the next status.
Always select "Ready for collection" when picking up your order.
When working with pickup numbers, the order is important. The number only moves to the Ready for Pickup column on the pickup display once you set it to that status. If you jump directly to Picked Up, the guest will never be called. The monitor will warn you in this case.
aisles
When working with aisles, the monitor groups the positions accordingly and shows what needs to be done in the aisle:
Prepare now — the course is ready.
Prepare in ~12 min — this course is planned for later, with a countdown.
Do not prepare yet — the aisle is waiting; the block is darkened.
Under Settings → Kitchen Monitor → Recipes, activate the Record Course Times option. Servire will then remember when a course was released, ready, and served, and display this information to the server at the table. Only activate this feature if all POS systems are up to date.
Reading colors
The map header changes color depending on the waiting time: first green, then yellow, then red. You can set the changeover point under Settings → Kitchen Monitor → Colors & Legend. By default, yellow is set to 10 minutes and red to 30 minutes.
Recipes and overview
If Show recipe buttons is enabled, the book icon will open your recipe at a specific location — and you can edit it there as well. The button in the header displays all recipes in the current view.
An overview can be expanded on the right. It counts all open positions for each item group — useful for seeing how many fries need to be made in total.
