Display receipt as QR code
Save on printed receipts — the guest scans a QR code with their mobile phone and receives the receipt digitally.
Instead of printing every receipt, you can have the guest scan a QR code — they then open the digital receipt on their phone. This saves paper and is more environmentally friendly; it also complies with mandatory receipt regulations for most receipt issuance scenarios.
Show QR code

Schritt 1 von 1
Step 1
In the summary screen, select the QR code option in the receipt section. Instead of sending it to the printer, the receipt will be displayed as a large QR code on the iPad screen after billing.
Hand the iPad to the guest or show it to them to scan. The guest opens the camera app on their smartphone and scans the QR code — the receipt automatically opens as a web page with all the receipt details, printable or savable as a PDF.
Print QR code additionally
Does the guest want to take the QR code with them instead of scanning it now? Select "Print QR code" instead—the code will then appear as a small print on the regular receipt. Convenient for guests who want to scan it at home at their leisure.
In stressful peak times, QR receipts save time — you don't have to wait until the printer has printed the receipt, but can immediately pass the iPad on.
The QR code receipt fulfills the German receipt obligation — it is considered an electronic receipt within the meaning of the Cash Register Security Ordinance. Important: the guest must have the option of scanning the code or receiving a printed copy.
