Correct time entries and process correction requests
How to correct time entries and decide on correction requests
Correct time entry
In the web desk, navigate to Employees. Time tracking will appear there if the module is active, your access to beta features is enabled, or the location uses the Plan Max, and you have the right to manage time tracking. Location owners always have this right. In the entry list, the pencil icon in the last column opens the "Edit Time Entry" dialog. Current and paused entries cannot be edited.
In the dialog box, you can adjust the date and time for "clocking in" and "clocking out," and add or remove times under "Breaks." An overview with the columns "Before" and "After" shows the difference in minutes. The "Reason" field is mandatory; the note states "Minimum 10 characters (§17 MiLoG)". Without a valid reason, "Save" remains disabled.
If the clock-out time was longer than the correction deadline, the dialog box displays "Correction deadline expired" and locks the fields. Clicking "Edit anyway" unlocks the form, allows you to enter a second explanation of at least 10 characters, and confirms the prompt "This late correction will be marked in the audit trail. Continue?".
Process correction requests
In the POS app, employees can request changes themselves via "Request correction," which is only possible for completed entries and can only be open once per entry. In the web portal, the "Open correction requests" section above the table collects these requests; a number indicates the number of open cases. Each request displays the name, date, old and new times, changed break minutes, and the reason.
"Approve" transfers the values to the time entry. "Reject" displays the "Comment (optional)" field; only "Confirm Rejection" completes the request.
You can change the deadline via "Time Tracking Settings" in the "Limits & Deadlines" section under "Correction Period (Days)". The default setting is 7 days.
