Counter order, assign table
Optionally select a table to order from the counter mode — for example, if the guest would like to sit down after all.
In counter mode, orders are initially placed without a table. If the guest decides to sit down, or if you want to assign a table to certain orders, you can select a table later.
Assign a table
In the order panel's header, open the Table field (table icon with arrow). The table picker will open directly.
The order picker has two tabs. The List tab displays all tables in the restaurant, sorted alphanumerically by table name; the area is indicated as an addendum to the row, for example, Table 5 · Terrace. You can filter by table or area name using the Area/Table Name search field. In the Table Plan tab, you select an area using area tokens and see its tables graphically displayed in the floor plan, meaning only one area is shown at a time; the tokens only appear if more than one area has a drawn area. Using Remove Table, you undo the assignment, and the order is then processed as a to-go order. Assigned orders will also appear later in the table plan view.
Billing method
Further down in the order panel is the Billing Type section with the options In-House and To Go. A third option, Delivery, only appears if the restaurant's default billing method is set to delivery.
Table assignment in counter mode is particularly practical in mixed-use establishments: quick counter orders for takeaway, and in between, guests dining in. The same employee serves both without switching modes.
The table picker is always available in the order panel as long as the order has not yet been processed.
