Set up online voucher sales

How to set up online voucher sales

Guests can purchase vouchers online. Navigate to Vouchers in the web interface and click on "Online Sales": The "Online Voucher Sales" page will open.

Connect your Stripe account

At the top is the "Stripe Connection" card with the status "Not connected," "Setup pending," or "Connected." "Connected" only appears once the Stripe account can accept payments; until then, the settings remain locked. The "Go to Payment Provider Settings" button leads to the relevant section. There, employees need the permission "Allowed to set up payment providers (SumUp, Stripe)."

Activate online sales

If the card shows "Connected," the "Activate online sales" button appears. A Fiskaly client is created, and the cash register is registered with the tax office in accordance with Section 146a of the German Fiscal Code (AO); this action cannot be easily reversed. Confirm in the dialog box by clicking "Activate now." Activation turns on "Online sales active"; you can pause sales later using this switch.

Amounts, type and validity

Under "Settings," you can define up to six "Predefined Amounts," each ranging from €1 to €1,000. "Minimum Amount" and "Maximum Amount" limit the amount guests can freely enter; all suggestions must fall within this range. For "Voucher Type," select "Multi-Purpose Voucher (MZG)" or "Single-Purpose Voucher (EZG); for EZG, a fixed "Tax Rate" of 7% or 19% is added. The "Validity" period is 1, 2, or 3 years, expiring on December 31st of the previous year. Save your changes.

Select EZG only if all redeemable services are subject to the same tax rate. If in doubt, leave the pre-selected multi-purpose voucher.
