How to manage individual items — name, price, tax rates, descriptions

Items are the individual items on your menu — from Espresso to Pizza Margherita. You create them in the browser on the web desktop; they are immediately available on all connected iPhones and iPads.

Create new article dialog with fields for name, PLU, price, article group, tax rates, descriptions, active and sold-out switches, as well as tabs for images, global variants, article-specific variants and tags.

Required fields are Name, Price in € (gross), ** Product Group **, and In-house and Off-site tax rates. Both tax rates are preset to 7% for new items—including the in-house rate. The tax rates configured in the settings only determine which values are available in the two dropdown menus, not the default value; the product group also does not change the rates. Therefore, check the values for each item. Optional fields are PLU, internal and public description, image, and the Active and Sold Out switches.

On the right side of the dialog are seven tabs: Images, Global Variants, Article-Specific Variants, Labels, Recipe, Deposit Items and Included Items.

Even after deletion, all previous orders, statistics and TSE-signed receipts are retained — the item just can no longer be ordered.
