Service check-in counter (shift start with change)

Enter your change into the service cash register at the start of your shift — a mandatory step for an active service cash register.

If your restaurant uses a cash register system, you begin each shift with check-in: You count your personal change and enter it as the opening balance in your cash register. Only after check-in can you take orders and process payments.

Check-in after shift start

Immediately after starting your shift, Servire automatically opens the check-in dialog. You will see an input field for your initial cash balance with an option to specify denominations. Enter your cash amount—for example, €50.00 as change.

Confirm with the checkmark. The service account will be initialized with this starting balance — all subsequent transactions will be offset against this initial value.

Before checking in, carefully count your change. Discrepancies at the end of your shift can often be traced back to inaccurate check-in—and may be charged to you as a shortfall.

If you decline without check-in or close the modal, your service account will be initialized with €0. Tips will still be recorded, but change transactions may fail.
